OVERVIEW
New Haven Adult School is a great place to get started on the pathway to college and career success.  We’ll help you get train for an in-demand career in Caregiving, assist you with job placement AND help you  plan your next career move by taking courses at one of the local community colleges. We also provide basic computer education, as well as access to advanced computer & technology training through a self-paced online learning system.
 
We provide classes in a variety of formats:
  • Traditional in-class
  • Hybrid (in-class & online)
  • Computer-based (self-paced independent learning)
 
Our program provides students with two tracks:
  • Career Ready - short-term job skills training
  • College Bound - College preparatory classes for adult learners
 
Career Education Placement & Assessment Meeting Dates
Any NEW student who wishes to enroll in any Computer Training must attend Placement & Assessment. Please arrive on-time and plan for 2-3 hours. See class pages for dates and times.
 
Students who wish to enroll in Residential & In-Home Care Training are only required to attend the ResCare New Student Orientation IF they (1) need funding assistance or (2) want to ask questions before enrolling. Self-paying students may enroll in class without attending orientation; but note there will be no refunds on class fees unless NHAS cancels the class.
